Live from New York, it’s Ariana Grande! The pop diva kicked off the new 40th season of “Saturday Night Live” on a high note. Hosted by Chris Pratt, fresh off the mammoth success of Guardians of the Galaxy.

She joined host Chris Pratt in a skit where fantasy characters came to life, and hit the stage to perform her top 10 hit “Break Free.”

Ever wish your toys could come alive when you were a kid? That's the central premise of this sketch, in which Pratt and Taran Killam turn into real-life versions of He-Man and Lion-O (from Thundercats), respectively. They're not… smart. Also, Ariana Grande pops up as She-Ra! The sketch feels a little half-baked, but still inspired.

Aidy Bryant and Pratt awkwardly flirt with rap songs. That's about it, but it's definitely funnier in execution than description. Plus, it's great to see Pratt's rap chops getting some use.

The central premise of this video short is that Marvel's Guardians-related success has gone to their heads. The next project they're pushing? Creatures of the Cosmos, starring a pastry chef, a Harlem Globetrotter, an alien real estate sign-spinner, "a dude dressed as Grimace" and an office chair. Plus Pam 2: The Winter Pam.

Later in the show, Ariana brought out The Weeknd to perform their collaboration “Love Me Harder” for the first time.
