Born and Raised in Brooklyn East New York Brownsville Houses Bobby Simmons found his love for music growing up in the projects at the age of 6, he self taught himself to play the Drums a instrument he fell in love with and practiced everyday after school when mom and dad allowed him if he finished his school work.

Bobby did not just stop at drums but also loved the laughter he received from kids in school when he would interrupt the class telling jokes and becoming the class clown. Of course every kid loved the Jackson 5, Bobby picked up on dancing quickly too after seeing the great Michael Jackson on Soul Train. Bobby then knew this was what he wanted to do. At the age of 13 Bobby joined his neighborhood friends Daddy O Delite Frukwan wise and Prince Paul forming the rap band Stetsasonic releasing their first album titled "On Fire" in 1986.

Bobby had his first experience performing professionally then it all started to come together more for Bobby touring and playing drums for the legendary Natalie Cole, Lillo Thomas, The Force MD's, Rapper Mystikal and playing drums on the Red Hot Chilli Peppers song 'Higher Ground'.

Being one of the hottest DJ's in NY in the mid 80's playing every friday night at the legendary club the Latin Quarters producing hits for other artist like Whodini, Shabba Ranks, Tony Terry, Living Colour - The Rock Band, Stetsasonic, Freestyle artist Shannon. Scoring a song in the Movie "Rocky V" titled Home Sweet Home.

Starting his own record company called Pink Eye Records releasing his first solo song titled "Poohtang" Bobby also created produced and host his own local NY video show called Flava Videos that got syndicated in Philadelphia, Miami and Atlanta interviewing many Artists such as: Aaliyah, Eminem, P.Diddy, Faith Evans, Fantasia Snoop Dogg, R.Kelly, Mary J Blige & The List just goes on. You can currently catch Bobby Simmons on his Radio internet show MON-THURS 7PM-9PM, and guess what? Bobby is returning back to television going the entertainment talk show route! THE NEW CHAPTER BEGINS!!!
